You still have to mask your ad, change or hide your ip address and/or use multiple URLs and email addresses among other things.

Craigslist has ebots that search out similar text. When they find it, they do not allow your ad to be seen. Craigslist however cannot not see text saved as an image. Post your ads in the evening when most people are off from work.

1. You have to open up a free image hosting account. Update: Many are having trouble with ads being blocked using “Photobucket“. If this is the case use www.freeimagehosting.net - It works exactly the same or google “image hosting” and use a free image hosing site of your choice.

2. Type your text ad and copy it into paintbrush or powerpoint and save it as an image file (gif,jpeg, tiff). You can also convert your text to an image by uploading it onto neevia.com

3. Log into your image hosting acct & Upload your image by clicking on browse and then selecting your file. Once selected click on upload. However many ads you are placing...you must upload your text that many times. The image hosting site will generate different codes for each image which will look like a different image to Craigslist.

4. Copy and paste the image code given by your image hosting site below the image into the ad area of Craigslist. Craigslist can not see text inside an image therefore you can place the same ad many times. You have to add the code inside <img src=" ">

Other ways I use to place multiple ads in Craigslist

1. Craigslist can't bump you off if you use different IP address. Using a dial up service, your IP is changed every time you disconnect and reconnect.

2. You can also download "hide the IP" software and craigslist will not see your IP address allowing you to post multiple times.

3. Use a Sprint air card or Verizon air card disconnect and reconnect to change your IP address. The process takes a second each time.

4. Verizon DSL Router changes your IP address. Disconnect & reconnect to change IP.

To change your IP using cable internet

a). Go to Start/Run and type in cmd
b). At the command prompt... Type in ipconfig and jot down your IP address
c). Then type in ipconfig/release... Note you are disconnected from the internet And your IP address should be 0.0.0.0
d). Next go to Control Panel/Network Connections... You should see under the LAN .. No Connection.
e). Right click on your cable connection Local Area Connection... And go to properties
f). Highlight Internet Protocol (tcp/ip)... And click properties
g). Click - Use the following IP - Put 111.111 and tab Once - This will fill in the subnet mask data. Click OK and then click Close.

5. Having a different URL enables you to post the same ad over and over. Buy a godaddy.com domain name and godaddy lets you set up 90 subdomains for free... use a different subdomain in each ad.

6. Get several subdomain URLs from purl.org.
UPDATE: Purl.org may no longer work.

7. Use a URL Shortener and create many different links of your URL. Ex. Notlong.com, hotshorturl.com, shorter.com.

8. Using different Craigslist accts with different email addresses will allow you to post the same ad multiple times. Get multiple emails at either hushmail.com or gmail .com. You'll never use them, Just get them for craigslist. Getting a hushmail acct is quick. Get about 100 email accts.

9. Put different symbols, numbers or characters before or after your subject lines to make your subject lines look different.

10. Do not use words like “click here”, “look at”, “check out”, “go here”, go to”. Craigslist does not like these words and will block your ad.

11. You can also make your ad look different by placing invisible text in your ad. Put text inside the code where shown below.

12. Craigslist Accounts - If you are not using ezadposter or Craygo do not set up a Craig list acct. If you are using one of the ad posters, you need to set up several different accounts ( one acct or every 5-10 ads). Eventually you will need to delete your accts and set up new ones.

Important: You must go to a particular city and set up your CL acct in that city. Do that in each city you will post in. ex. tampa.craiglist.org. Close your browser and open Craygo or Ezadposter and accept the terms of condition for that acct from there.

13. When creating the elusive Clickable link in your post on Craigslist, use the relation ‘no follow’ attribute. This attribute is used to tell the search engines that the link is not authorized. The search engine spyders will overlook the link until the ‘NO Follow’ is taken out. Using this same approach on Craigslist, you are in essence telling the local filters that you don’t exist yet.

This helps with spyder ‘Crawling'. Don’t use Click Here or Click Here Now.. Those description seem to be getting blocked. Look on Craigslist to see what domains are working for the day. Cloaking your URL still works. Again, look at what others are using on Craigslist.

14. If you are using Craygo, upgrade Craygo with the New Built in Number Generator. The new {num} token will scramble the subject and body -  ex. Can't Afford 1K {num} Will look like this: Can't Afford 1K ........7462. You can apply this in the ad body also.

Ads Ghosted?

Your ads appear to go live, show up green ( active )in both your account, as well as when you check the URL – yet, are nowhere to be found in the live, real time results in the CL section in which you posted. Here’s some reasons why and the solutions in red…

1) URL in the ad - Do not use live links but rather type your domain name in your ad and have prospects copy and paste it to their browser or hyperlink youtube or press release links

2) Ad copy triggering some sort of Spam filters - Do not use “!!!”, or words like “Check this out” Go Here”, Click Here Now”, etc.

3) Image in the Ad ( depends on category) - Regularly change your image hosting site.

4) Over post – ( or very similar to another ad you have run, or unfortunately, someone else has run) - If not using images, very simply make changes to your ads so they are different. An auto posting software (craygo or ezadposter has tools to auto change your ads)

5) Hidden Text. Typically a sign of either an automated posting solution ( which inserts hidden, or “ghost white” text into the post to make each piece of “spam” unique, theoretically CL visitors don’t see it, but the CL Bots do, making the same ad appear different) - Some hidden text codes do not work.

6) Domain name. If you have one domain name that you use for multiple offers ( especially people who are using one primary URL for several different affiliate redirects) you will eventually have your posts ghosted. - You will have success having propects email you and then setting up an autoresponder with your URL.

Simply, all you are going to do is post an attractive, benefit laden text ad, use any number of the popular free email accounts that has an auto response setting ( I use gmail very happily for this) and you will just put your offer URL in the default response that everyone gets when they reply to your ad. Very easy – set it, and forget it.

7) Your IP. I think this is very, rare. I think an IP ban is probably relegated to people are hitting it really hardcore, and I mean in quantity of posts, as well as category of content. - If you are making your living on Craigslist, use a dial up connection when posting for this reason. It is the best way of changing your IP address by simply disconnecting and reconnecting your service. Remember to clear your cookies after every 5-10 post.

The best categories to place your ads are Jobs Offered - Sales Jobs Offered - Real estate Jobs Offered - Marketing Services offered - Small Biz Ads Services offered - Real estate Discussion Forums - Jobs or Money Subject Line

Tips: No one will get to your ad unless you have a very good subject line and it stands out among the rest. Here are some tips.

1. Indent your subject line and place characters at the beginning to make your subject line stand out. Ex. ===è Have you seen this yet?

2. Ask a question in your subject line.

3. Use the word “you”. Ex. “Do you”, “I’ll show you how”

4. Keep your subject line short Ad Tip If you are advertising in the Jobs/Sales category, Your ad needs to resemble an ad related to a sales job. You have to list a commission....job requirements, etc. This will help you from getting your ads ghosted.
